I don't like shots!

(No, this picture wasn't taken yesterday, it was actually taken
Dec 10th, but it seems to fit the mood and is just too cute to not share!)

Well, Reagan has survived her first round of shots!
We took her to the pediatrician yesterday to get the first round of shots and immunizations. She weighed in at 11 lbs 6 oz and 24 inches long. The Doctor said this was slightly above the average but still within the normal range and that she is progressing well.

When it came time to give her the shots, Chris had to help hold her down as I knew that I would cry right along with her! He said the look in her eyes at the first stick was simply heartbreaking. Although she screamed quite loudly (she definitely has a set of lungs on her!) while the nurse gave her the shots, she quickly settled down as Chris held her afterwards.

We stopped on the way home to buy some infant Tylenol drops just in case we needed them. As advised by her doctor, we even gave her one dose preemptively to help ward off any possible side effects of the shots. I don't think she really needed it though, either that or the Tylenol really did it's job! She has had no problems so far... no fevers, no unusual fussiness, and no knots where they stuck her.
That's my brave girl! :)
